Thanks Mary! It is amazing how simply taking a few minutes to write down and organize what needs to be done, makes it possible to accomplish it! We will be officially launching our site very soon and check out our tips on Facebook!

Kelly - we wish we had this program at our schools! It sounds like a community builder, too --- plus recipes? Now that's a big bonus!

This program is fantastic! The food is great and the parents who organize it get to know many parents they wouldn't have had the chance to meet. The field trip to the farm is a real treat. Our parents organized a recipe swap as well.

Betsy - we love that your organization made bringing in new volunteers fun and positive! This type of motivation will bring in more dollars and volunteering to your cause. Don't you think it would be great if the new volunteer received a small token of appreciation as well? We'd love to hear more - keep us posted!

Our Relay for Am Cancer Society is the 2nd largest in Ca. and can be intimidating. We are always looking for new recruits to our planning committee. I agree that making the face to face ask is very important. I am a food chair, possibly the toughest position to recruit volunteers. This year we have a contest going on. Every Committee member that brings a new volunteer, gets 2 extra raffle tickets which get entered into a drawing for a really nice prize. We will see if we get some more committee volunteers.
